The Transcendental Dependent Arising
Buddha taught that suffering has causes (the twelve-link dependent origination), but he also revealed the reverse process: how positive qualities naturally support each other in ascending spirals toward liberation.
"For one who has faith, joy arises. For one who has joy, tranquility arises. For one who is tranquil, happiness arises. For one who is happy, the mind becomes concentrated. For one who is concentrated, things are seen as they really are..."
This teaching shows that we don't need to create artificial conditions for wellbeing—we need only provide the right supports, and positive qualities will naturally reinforce each other.
